From our experience, while there are plenty of firms that will act for you if you are bringing the claim (the Claimant) if you are on the receiving end of a claim (the Defendant) there is much less choice of representation.
For an initial consultation over the phone, we can offer you a fixed fee of £75 + VAT for up to 20 minutes. During that consultation, we will find out from you the factual background, give you initial advice on whether – based on the information available – you may have a valid case, and give you an indication of potential future fees if you choose to instruct us to take the case on for you.
Same day appointments are sometimes available. We would need to undertake a conflict check (to ensure that we haven’t already advised the other party) and, provided this is clear, you can be booked in for a consultation with one of our friendly lawyers.
Sometimes a telephone call just isn’t enough and you need to meet with us face to face for a consultation.
By prior appointment, we would be happy to meet with you at our offices in Canterbury for a fixed fee of £200 + VAT for up to an hour consultation. Normally, we can see you the next working day so don’t be concerned that an appointment is going to be a long time in the future – we fully appreciate that you don’t want to wait!
If you have an insurance policy that covers you then contact them and be guided by what they say. However, if you don’t have insurance cover available, then you may need our help.
